Day 1 - ARRIVAL PARO
PARO / THIMPHU - Drive (55 KMS/1.5Hrs)
Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, occupies a valley in the country’s western interior. In addition to being the government seat, the city is known for its Buddhist sites. The massive Tashichho Dzong is a fortified monastery and government palace with gold-leaf roofs. The Memorial Chorten, a whitewashed structure with a gold spire, is a revered Buddhist shrine dedicated to Bhutan’s third king, Jigme Dorji Wangchuck.
Arrive Thimphu and check into the Hotel.
Afternoon at Leisure.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Full day sightseeing of Thimphu visiting Kuensel Phodrang (Huge statue of Buddha), National Memorial Chorten (Monument), Folk Heritage Museum, Sangaygang View Point, Changangkha Monastery, Takin Preserve Centre. Takin is the national animal of Bhutan and also called chamois or gnu goat.
Evening at leisure to explore the local market.
Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Full day excursion to beautiful Tango Monastery. Enroute also visit Simtokha Dzong.

After breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Punakha and enroute visit Wangdue.
After breakfast drive to Punakha / Wangdue, On the way Stop at Dochu-La-Pass (3150mts) to view the higher Himalayas. Arrival at Punakha check in at hotel. In the afternoon, visit Suspension Bridge. Overnight at the hotel in Punakha.
After beakfast visit Punakha Dzong - built in 1637 by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. For many years until the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government. The Dzong was named Druk Pungthang Dechen Phodrang (Palace of Great Happiness). Punakha is still the winter residence of Je-Khenpo and King Jigme Dorji Wangchuck convened the first National Assembly here in 1952. After that take a short excursion trip to visit the Chhimi Lhakhang - The Temple, also known as “The Temple of Fertility” was built by Lama Drukpa Kuenley, “The Devine Mad Man”. Visit Talo Nunnery.
Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay will be at Punakha / Wangdue.
After breakfast drive to Paro (7,483ft). On the way stop at Lamperi to visit Royal Botanical Park - The park contains a rich biodiversity of flora and fauna and features a huge species of plants and animals including endangered species. On arrival check in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Ta Dzong - National Museum with an excellent collection of arts, relics, religious thangkha, etc. Rinpung Dzong - Meaning "fortress of the heap of jewels". The dzong now serves as the administrative and judicial seat of Paro.
Overnight at hotel in Paro.
After breakfast visit famous Taktsang Monastery - called “Tiger's Nest” (2hrs hike from the base camp) & Kitchu Monastery. In the evening visit a traditional farm house to enjoy Traditional Hot Stone Bath on direct payment basis. Also visit Drukgyel Dzong. Later roam around paro Market and interact with locals and artesians.
Overnight stay at Paro.
After breakfast check out of the hotel and we will drop you at International airport.
